TOURNAMENT GUIDE

  • All games must be played in accordance with the FIBA Basketball Competition Regulations,
    taking into account the special conditions and principles set out in these Competition
    Regulations, which directly amend the principles set out in the general Basketball Rules.
  • Age categories the game time is 2×15 minutes of “running time” with the last two minutes of the second half being “clean” game time.
  • The halftime is one minute.

  • It is mandatory to play man-to-man defense.

  • It is required to start defending from half court.

  • Both teams have one minute of timeout during halftime.

  • Team fouls reset after 5 fouls in each half, after which free throws will follow.

  • If the regular game time ends in a tie, overtime will be played on an “sudden death” principle.

  • Mini hoops will be used.

  • U12 Regular plays with U19 – U13 (2007-2013) rules except the playing time, which is 2×15
    minutes.

  • Age categories, the game time is 4×8 minutes of “running time,” with
    time stopping during free throws, and the last 2 minutes of the last quarter played as “clean”
    game time.
  • The halftime between quarters is one minute.
  • Each team has one timeout in the first half and two timeouts in the second half.
  • If there is a point difference of more than 30 points in the game, the team that scored must start
    defending from their own half of the court.
  • Team fouls reset after 4 fouls in each quarter; from the fifth foul onward, free throws will
    follow.
  • If the regular game time ends in a tie, overtime will be played on an “sudden death” principle.
  • Full-size hoops will be used.
  • Same rules are applied to U12 Regular (2014) except the playing time which is 2×15 minutes.
  • Balls:
    1) U19, U17, U16, U15 for men, the ball is played with No. 7;
    2) U19, U17, U16, U14 for girls and U14 and U13 for boys, the ball is played with No. 6;
    3) U9-U12 age group, the ball is number 5.
  • Age groups:
    BOYS U9 (2017), U10 (2016), U11 (2015), U12 (2014), U13 (2013), U14 (2012), U15 (2011),
    U16 (2010), U17 (2009), U19 (2007)
    IN THE REGULAR SERIES AND THE CHALLENGE* SERIES.
    GIRLS U10 (2016), U12 (2014), U14 (2012), U16 (2010), U17 (2009), U19 (2007)
    IN THE REGULAR SERIES AND THE CHALLENGE* SERIES.
